Everyone is expected to meet the deadlines: members, mods, and project holder. If you seem to be repeatedly late without a valid reason, you will be punished (the mods are currently in the works of an active penalty system). If you need an extension let us know ahead of time so we aren't guessing what to do with your part (whether its assign covers or wait for you). Do NOT sign up for every project you see, and if you plan on signing up for more than one at a time, be sure you can meet the deadlines. We understand that school and real life will always hold a priority over AK, and unexpected things happen, but please do manage your time wisely, as best as possible, anyway. 02. Refrain from excessive part-hogging. Yes I know, some of you may have a favourite member of a band that you may always want to claim. Or you find yourself wanting to grab the part with the most lines. Sometimes is okay. All the time is not appreciated. Do not take the same person in a project for more than three projects in a row. After that, you must allow three more projects of that same group to pass before you can be that person again. Give other members a chance with main parts too. Do not part hog! 03. Ten song limit. From now on, each member is only allowed to sign up for 10 songs at a time. that’s right I said 10. This is to better organize AK as a whole. We hope by implementing this rule we can cut back on late lines and extensions and meet deadlines easier than before. We also hope this will bring around more newbies to the projects and they won’t be as intimidated by us. Because I'm sure seeing all the regular members as signup-ninjas can be quite the turn off in terms of fighting for a spot in the project; so this gives EVERYONE a change to sign up, yes? -How does this work and how will the mods know if I'm cheating (singing up for 10+ songs) or not? From now own each member is to post their "to-do list" in the new Member To-Do List section (which I will open) and list the current projects and songs you are in. At random, the mods will be checking and double checking to make sure no one is going overboard. "But Kristy!" you cry, "THERES A NEW SIGNUP THAT I REALLY WANNA JOIN YO BUT IM AT MY LIMIT BAWW!" Simple solution, record one of the 10 songs in your list and submit it, then you are free to go for another song. or if you ask nicely, and we are in a good mood we will allow you ONE extra song so long as you promise to get one songs off your list finished within 24 hours, that’s your grace period, if after 48hours you still have not handed in any lines we will kick you off that extra project without warning. and no shrugging of the shoulders at this, because there WILL be penalties, including that little warn level below your user names, which could lead to sign-up suspensions in the future, or if we catch you with more than 10 songs, we, as the mods have the right to kick you out of any song we wish as penalty. But we know you girls won’t lie/cheat us, cause you love us, as we love you. But please note this is for the sake of the community and organization of the releases and projects<3 In summary what this basically means is from now on think carefully about the songs you sign up for before doing so~ 04. Remain mature at all times. That's not to say we can't have fun here. But please no drama or fights among members. There will be consequences. There is no need to be rude to each other. Also please refrain from unnecessary bashing. Critique is okay, out right flaming is not. 05. Keep a positive and friendly attitude. "It's not your voice I'm worried about, but your attitude. I have the exact same sentiments girls~ Also we are here for FUN, no need to be super serious about how good or bad any one person is. 06. We're open to everyone and anyone! That's right; everyone is guaranteed a spot at Asian Karaoke so long you are willing to participate! However, do not take the no-auditions required rule so easy; you are still held accountable for the responsibilities you are agreeing to when you sign up at the forum! 07. Be an active and involved member. Once you have registered, head to Introduction Central to well, introduce yourself! And once you’re done that jump into the Randomness Forum to meet your fellow members for some fun! Be sure to check out Newbie Central too, if you find yourself lost or uncomfortable. And of course, start joining in on projects! We love active members! 08. Follow the Signature restrictions - You are allowed to only have two images: It can be either gif & pic, pic & pic, or gif & gif - If there is going to be any text, you may have up to four lines if the font size is normal. If you use huge font size, just try to not overdue it. - The maximum width allowed is 565 px (no pagestretching, please) - The maximum height allowed is 300 px. If you have two images on top of each other, the total height must be 300 px. We don't want two images on top of each other with 300 px. That's just excessive Posting Rules 01. No spamming! Please refrain from posting useless replies one after another, especially if they're not contributing to the topic at hand. Also please try to write more than one or two words each post, I will be able to tell if you are just looking for a higher post count Refrain from double posting, whenever possible (you can edit your posts for a reason). 02. No Sexual content! I will allow mature discussions so long they're handled tastefully, but I will NOT allow anything porn related or offensive on this site. I will definitely not allow any graphic content (ie- images/video/text). Ignore this rule and consider yourself banned without question. Sharing the fanfic p0rn is totally okay though (in the randomness section at least.) 03. Profanity! Mature language IS allowed, however if any mature language is EVER used to offend/hurt a fellow user or directed at them in an offending way, it's gone and will be replaced with silly censors. If I still continue to see a problem there will be user consequences (ie-probation or banned). However the Admins are known to use vulgar language in everyday conversation. This is the year 2010, sex/violence/cursing is in nearly every movie and every TV show now a-days. If you don’t like mature language or mature humor I suggest you avoid the randomness thread, or maybe leave if you’re really offended with everyday use, but sadly it’s unavoidable here.
